Preston Court Wedding - Ipswich Wedding Videographer
What made you choose Preston Court as your venue?
It was the only venue we visited and it just 'fit'. It was quirky yet traditional, conducive with the bohemian feel we wanted for the day. Plus it had a vintage carousel?! We couldn't say no.
What made you choose me to document your day?
We didn't originally plan on having a wedding video but I saw Dan's video for a couple's elopement in New Zealand and watched the whole video open mouthed. I dreamt of documenting our day like that. His videography is genuinely a work of art. Shortly after I emailed Dan saying 'I doubt we can afford you but I just want to tell you how much I admire your work'. He sent over a price list and thankfully we could. We spoke on Skype and Dan understood our vision and tastes completely so booked him that day.
What do you guys do?, what is important in life to you? Hoe do you spend your days?
I work as a personal assistant and Tom is a firefighter. In our spare time we love to travel- we got engaged in Zanzibar after a 17 day trek in the rift Valley, Tanzania and and are looking forward to our honeymoon- a month travelling round New Zealand,
The proposal, how did it happen, what is the story.
We went on a romantic evening walk on the beach in Zanzibar whilst, unbeknown to me, Tom scoped out the perfect spot to 'pop the question'. Our walk was rudely interrupted by a flying ant storm of biblical scale so we retreated to the bedroom for safety, room service and a film. Tom nervously proposed to the dulcet tones of the Mission Impossible theme tune that was still on the TV in the background and after lots of happy tears I said Yes! It wasn't quite the sunset beach surroundings he had envisioned but it was perfect and so 'us'
What kind of experience did you want for your guests from your wedding.
I wanted it to feel relaxed, fun and just like a bigger version of the family gatherings we have at home.
