Haddal Wedding - Norway Wedding Videographer

What made you choose your venue?

We'd held our wedding in Vietnam at Hanh's family home so it made sense to celebrate our Norwegian wedding here in Haddal, where Jonas grew up. There are not many vendors in the area so we had to do most of the work ourselves with a lot of help from family and friends - we loved that there were personal touches everywhere and it was truly a local, family affair. We were very reckless to have everything outdoors, but the weather cooperated and it was magical.

What made you choose Shoot Me Now Films to document your day?

We loved Dan's cinematic style and wanted someone who would do the spectacular natural beauty of Norway justice.

The proposal, how did it happen, what is the story?

Jonas proposed in our shared flat in London on a Saturday morning. He usually makes breakfast at the weekend, but still did not arouse any suspicion when he announced that there was a surprise 'first course'. I turned around and there he was on one knee, ring in hand. And of course, I started crying, grateful that we weren't in a crowded fancy restaurant. We had a cosy morning in celebrating over a champagne breakfast and sharing the news with our closest friends and family. It was simple but perfect for us.

What kind of experience did you want for your guests from your wedding?

A lot of Hanh's family and friends were travelling to Norway for the first time so we wanted our guests to experience what we love about the area - we had strawberries freshly picked that morning from a local farm, beer home-brewed by one of Jonas's best friends, partying on a field next to sheep into the early hours with the sun still shining... It was a gathering of the people we loved most and we wanted it to be a celebration of the wonderful people we are blessed to have in our lives.
