Farnham Castle Wedding - London Wedding Videogrpher

What made you choose Farnham Castle as your venue?

We immediately fell in love with the size and space at the venue - it felt very bright and we liked that we could have all parts of our wedding day in the same place without having to travel. The grounds are beautiful and the views across the area also stunning. The castle is steeped in history - it was rebuilt in the late 12th century and has a lot of character; from the huge stained glass windows to the rugged keep at the top of the castle. The venue had plenty of space for us to get ready on the day and also had enough accommodation on site to sleep over half of our guests. The team at the venue were also really helpful, friendly and made the whole process as smooth as possible.

What made you choose Shoot Me Now Flms to document your day?

A recommendation from Matt Parry - our photographer - was what initially drew us to Shoot Me Now. The stunning films on the website sealed the deal for us - they are all so wonderfully put together and really capture the emotion of wedding days.

What do you guys do?, what is important in life to you? How do you spend your days?

We work in Finance and Consulting but in our free time we love to travel. We have very fortunately been on some amazing holidays and are always looking for the next destination to explore. Most weekends are spent chilling with friends.

The proposal, how did it happen, what is the story?

The proposal took place on the first day of a trip to the Lake District and Scotland in April 2017. We travelled up to Keswick for the first leg and it was a really sunny day. We decided to go for a picnic but the lake we were at was really busy so we walked on to find a quieter spot. With hindsight, the signs of nerves were there - Jamie started randomly hitting his chest and sat meters away from me! After our picnic he pulled out a kinder egg - which had smashed into small pieces after I had inadvertently dropped the backpack it was in. He handed me the bit the toy is in but I couldn’t open it so asked him to but he insisted I should try again. Eventually got it open and grabbed the instructions and failed to see the note he had put in it! Eventually I picked it up and saw that I said “will you marry me?”. Next thing I knew, he had pulled a ring from his pocket and I was in tears!

What kind of experience did you want for your guests from your wedding?

We just wanted everyone to have fun!
